Today on Decor Dose our new company president Asieh is sharing a bit from her much deserved vacation. So jealous! I think the next vacation should be a company vacation ;)
Having had enough of the polar vortex this winter, my family and I took a much needed respite and headed south for the warmth of the Caribbean.
Upon our arrival at The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico we were escorted to the Plantation House to check in. When I saw the gorgeous building surrounded by the koi pond I knew we had picked the right resort.

Our view as we had breakfast every morning...
The St. Regis was built on an iguana nesting site. You can still come face to face with the original inhabitants around the pool. I had the "pleasure" of unknowingly being followed by this fellow below as I took a dip.
Let's just say he invaded the personal space I like to maintain between myself and large reptiles.
The accommodations were beautiful - sophisticated island chic! The food was well above the standard hotel fare. They even have a Jean George restaurant on site - Fern - where I had the most delicious grilled octopus. This is a great resort -- made even better by the endless smiles and warm greetings of the staff.
Maybe if I just close my eyes I can pretend I'm still there....
